NATIONAL MEDIA AWARD - 2006
SRI LANKA
The National Media Award Ceremony organized by the Ministry of Mass Media and Information was held on 16th May 2008 at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute, Colombo.

Hon. Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka was the chief guest of this event.  Hon. Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Minister of Mass Media and Information & Hon. Laksman Yapa Abeywardana, Minister of Media were also present as guests of honour.  Three gold awards, 12 Silver awards and 06 bronze awards (Special mention medals) were presented at the ceremony.  
    
The three gold awards were presented to distinguished media personals Mr. Titus Thotawaththa, Mr.Vijaya Koraya and Mr. D.F. Kariyakarawana appreciating their great contribution to Television, Radio and Print Media industries respectively.
