The Indian journalists had been keen on the future actions of the new government and preparations in connection with President Maithripala Sirisena’s visit to India.
They had extended their maximun cooperation to implement exchange programmes for journalists to improve media literacy and media research. The visit was coordinated by the National Association of Journalists in Sri Lanka. During the five day stay, the journalists will visit Koneshwaram Kovil in Trincomalee and also meet Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne.
NAS Sri Lanka President Daya Perera, Foreign Secretary Anil Perera and Government Information Director Wasnathapriya Ranasinghe were also present.
