Parliamentary Reforms Division of the Ministry of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media has organized this workshop with the assistance of USAID. The objective of this training workshop will be to provide training required by Research Assistants for efficient and productive co-ordination in facilitating the role of Hon. Members of Parliament.
They will be made aware on preparing project proposals for productive implementation of Decentralized Budgetary Allocations for provincial development, gathering information and the research strategies used therein. Furthermore, it is expected to raise awareness on the role of the Member of Parliament and the role of the Research Assistant as well as to provide theoretical and practical training in building up positive, people-friendly relations. Well experienced and veterans in the field will attend this workshop as resource persons.
Mr. Vajira Narampanawa, Secretary to the Ministry of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media, Mrs. Chandra Miyanawala, Additional Secretary of the Parliamentary Reforms Division, officials of the Ministry and representatives from USAID are scheduled to be present at the occasion.
