The Venerable Thera was hospitalized in an unconscious state after a fall in the Temple last evening, hospital sources said. The 93-year old Thera was appointed as the 21st Chief Prelate (Mahanayake} of the Asgiriya Chapter on May 8, 2015 following the death of Chief Prelate Most Venerable Udugama Sri Buddharakkitha Thera on April 8, 2015.
