• Replying parliamentary questions and conducting Ministerial advisory committee
• Instructing on administrative and management activities of the affiliated entities.
• Implementation of Audit and Management committees
• Conducting disciplinary inquiries and preliminary inquiries
• Organizing and conducting training and development programmes
• Management of productivity and standards development programmes
• Coordination of activities pertaining to Human Rights Commission & Public Petition
  Committee
• Processing the overseas leave applications received from the Ministry and its
  affiliated entities
• Supervision of activities of all affiliated entities
• Maintenance of personal files of the officers in the Ministry (internal staff) and in the combined services, maintenance of personal files of the officers in Sri Lanka Administrative Service transferred to affiliated institutions of the Ministry, staff recruitments, granting loan facilities, provision of Agrahara insurance and maintenance of leave registers.
• Appointment of boards of directors of the affiliated entities of the Ministry.
• Taking legal actions in regard to cases filed against the Ministry and its affiliated
  bodies.
• Operation of State Printing Committee as per Financial Regulation 630.
• Submission of Cabinet Memoranda.
• Taking actions to obtain approval of the Cabinet of Ministers so that the annual reports of the Ministry’s affiliated entities can be submitted to the Parliament.
• Organizing and conducting training and development programmes
• Coordinating local and foreign scholarships training programmes , tours related to the Ministry and its affiliated entities
• Management of productivity and quality development programmes
• Maintenance and repair of Fixed Assets of the Ministry Performing maintenance, electricity, water, telephone bills, transport and deposit activities of the Ministry.
• Acting on the overseas leave applications of the Ministry and its affiliated institutions
• Active implementation of Right to Information Act

• Updating the database of Information Officers and Designated officers
• Updating the website and and Facebook page on Right to Information
• Awareness of government officers and citizens on the Right to Information Act and solving issues related to right to information.
• Maintenance and updating the Facebook page on Right to Information
